Volunteer.

I’m just happy, that there were people out there who were willing to open the door for me despite the cold weather outside. Some were so friendly and so welcoming. Every dollar I received for the my canvassing will go a long way.

Today, there was an old man, who almost told his life story to me. But it was fine, I liked it. I felt sad though that he lives alone, and that he suffered from a stroke and is diabetic. But you wouldn’t see it in his face. He was smiling the whole time. He even complimented me on my perfume. Funny, because he told me my boyfriend must have bought it for me. Haha. I don’t have one. He said he came from Hungary back in the year ‘68. Then he went off on how nothing changes, with the government and all. It was a pleasure to talk to him. I wish his family visits him often.

Anyways, luckily I raised over $200 for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. I could have raised more, but I’m such a lazy person. Whoot. But I reached my goal of raising $200. Next year, I’ll raise my goal.

It feels good really to go out there and talk with other people.
